Do we really need the equipment to pass ?

Just picked up the book, doesnt look like you really need the equipment to pass this test.. looks lke more theory than actuall hands on experience .. towards the end of its gets into the gui and SOME CLI ...

anyone pass this test without the hardware?

    I'd be curious about this, too. The less money out of my pocket, the better, though I admit some equipment probably needs to be purchased.

    I saw your note about going into voice. You'd better be ready to shell out some money for a voice lab. It's as expensive a cert to pursue as any of them.

    I know around ten guys with the CCNA Wireless and none of them used real equipment. It's just too cost prohibitive. If you were talking about the professional level wireless track I'd say otherwise, but for the CCNA Wireless you should be fine with just study material.
