I am given the task as switching our enviorment over from 2007 to the new 2010. (eek. planning on starting next week...)

We current host our 2007 exchange box on a 2003 64-bit server. This server also hosts our BES so its not completely stand alone. This upgrade will be for a small amount of users, maybe 20-25. Can this be done? or am I destined to move to server 2008?

    Server 2008 or Server 2008 R2 only.

And you can't upgrade the server to 2008. You will need to build a new server and move the mailboxes.

Only offered on Windows 2008. Exchange 2010 performs great on Windows 2008.

Thats what I thought. I figured I would have to make the transition to server 2008 in order to go the Exchange 2010 route.

Looks like somebody is going to be getting some new hardware to play with. icon_cheers.gif

I dont think you will be disappointed. 2008 is far superior to 2003, IMO.
