gns3 with sun virtual box, possible?

Is it possible to make both programs work with each other? I wanna combine both my windows/linux studies with my cisco studies. I'm sure theres a way. but I haven't tried yet as I've been busy getting ready for finals and all. Wasn't sure where I could ask the question as it applys to two forums so I figured off-topic would do

Yes but GNS3 would require a host os, so you couldn't install it by itself. I think I had mine running in this set up for a day or 2.

VirtualBox requires a host OS anyway. It isn't a bare metal hypervisor like ESX.

I meant like it would be HostOS>Virtualbox>GuestOS>GNS3 running on Guest.

But yea you are correct.

HostOS -> VirtualBox -> GuestOS
and
HostOS -> GNS3

That would be pretty sweet. I wonder what it would take to make a fully self contain GNS3 VMmachine? That would be pretty awesome.

A dynamips VM would be fairly small but I'm unsure whether GNS3 running on your local PC can talk to a remote copy of dynamips.

Install VirtualBox, install Ubuntu in a VM, install Dynamips/Dynagen in that VM. Done.

There are quite a few light weight Linux/Dynamips distros out there if you google for them. I've been meaning to try out Dynaflux lately, but haven't got around to it yet.
