Probably not recommended as you will be doing troubleshooting in CLI, that i am 100% sure of lol

Maybe you can , however it will take a lot of time to setup sdm on all your routers, when setting up the network in CLI is much faster. Remember time is precious in the LAB exam.

on R&S no. On security Im pretty sure there are a few tools you can use.

For R&S you get secureCRT, notepad, windows calculator, and a really crappy chair.

For RS there would be no need for ASDM, and there is no mention of SDM in the lab blueprint. For security I would assume that ASDM and SDM are not available because there is no mention of them on the blueprint but there is a specific note about using the IDM for the IPS.

Chances are, by the time you're ready to take the CCIE R&S lab exam, the GUI tools are more of a burden than help. They're great for beginners and doing very basic changes in a hurry, but you'll learn to love the CLI as time goes on and you won't know how you lived without it.
