Just Passed Network+

Hello all,

Passed my Network+ test today with a 846. I can say this test wasn't hard or easy (about an average) , but u need to know and cover the following areas to make sure to pass,

1. troubleshooting and scenarios. I

2. TCP/IP protocol suite (especially port number and protocol assignments.)

3. OSI layers as they relate to both network hardware, mainly hubs, switches, bridges, routers and NICs.

4. media and connectors as well as the speeds and length limitations.

5. WINIPCFG, Tracert, Nbtstat -r, Ping ect graphical) utilities.

I don't know what to do next Server+ or Security+

Server+ is the natural next step if you want to stay on the CompTIA track. Some have called this one "Advanced A+".

I just passed it with a 746! Your advice on the exam is right on. I would recommend studying what Mr Tee said. Onto 70-210 tomorrow.
