ssh versions

A while back I tried to ssh into a router for a lab but I guess the router I'm using uses ssh version 1.5 and the os that I'm using has version 2.0. Would I have to get version 1.5 on my os??

    You will need a client that supports SSH1 if the router only supports SSH1. However, I think most SSH clients are downward compatible. Two common ones for Windows that do support SSH1 and SSH2 are putty and SecureCRT.

    Sweet. I use putty on my desktop. I was thinking that ssh was compatible but I didn't see anything about it.
