After decent WAN books

Not really CCNP related, but anyone know of any readable books explaining ISDN, E1, T1, timeslots, framing etc.?

Or maybe I should skip the books and just dive head first into the Cisco docs? I'm trying to supplement my knowledge of WANs for some real world projects coming up.

Thanks in advance

One of the first things I did was borrow a co-worker's copy of "T1: A Survivor's Guide" and it brought me up to speed. The rest is just lingo... :)

Network Warrior is also solid and I think there's a cisco.com circuit troubleshooting guide somewhere (which is just an abbreviated version of the T1 Survivor's Guide).

+1 on both those books. T1: a survivors guide got me through one of my first jobs ;)

you intend to get across, then it is not focused

Thanks a lot guys, with a title like that I'm sure that book is packing some heat.
