70-294 vs 70-297

Hello Everyone,

I am scheduled for the 70-294 in about 2 weeks and afterwards I will be moving onto 70-297. I was curious how similiar the two exams are? I've read the Microsoft "Measured Skills" which to me seems like there is alot of overlap. Is this something I could probably schedule a few weeks after I pass my 70-294 exam ?

Thanks,

The 294 covers AD, domain, trusts, GPOs in detail, OUs, groups, permissions. I think the 297 covers designing. think of the 294 as what it is, and the 297 is how to set it up.

Or think of it like this; 294 is hard. 297 is easy.

I don't know if I'd call 297 easy. It's one I see people struggle with regularly.

From my experience, 70-297 was a combination of 291 & 294 subjects in a case scenario format. I took it about 2 weeks after passing 294 and passed on the first attempt.

I barely passed the exam today with a 700/1000. This exam was like a rollercoaster for me because it had its ups and downs. At the beginning of the exam the questions were simple and it felt like I was taking the 70-291 exam. Then it turned my world upside down and hit me with some hard 70-294 questions. I think part of the reason I scored so low was because I rushed it. Well 2 years in the making and I am down to my final exam to complete my MCSE. I think I am going to take an exchange exam... hmmm
