WEP uses a encyption key and with WPA PSK we again define a pre-shared key , so how is WPA-PSK different from WEP?
and the documentation stresses on the dynamic key exchange for WPA, as we are defining a static PSK key for WPA so where is the 'dynamic' part?
and if the keys are dynamically generated in WPA than what does the PSK in WPA-PSK do?

That's the main difference, the way it handles encryption dynamically per packet, it's still using the RC4 that wep used.ICND1 - Passed 25/01/10
ICND2 - Passed 9/03/10

WPA-PSK is a better algorithm called Temporal Key Integrity Protocol (TKIP). Later a hole was found and the Wi-FI group upgraded it to WPA2 which uses AES. So in a nutshell the differences are all about the strength of encryption.Who knows what evil lurks in the heart of technology?... The Shadow DO
