BSCI Authorized Self-Study Guide Question

No, I am not going to ask what is the difference in this and the Certification Exam Guide.

What I want to know is what is the difference between the 2nd and 3rd editions. They both cover the 640-901 exam and have the same authors, but there is about a $40 difference in the price and the 3rd edition is 2007 while the 2nd is 2005. I am just wondering if it is worth the extra money to get the latest edition as this is a supplement for me and will be used to iron out the details.

No they don't.

The 2nd Edition was for the 642-801 BSCI exam which retired Dec 12 2006.

The 3rd Edition was updated for the 642-901 BSCI exam which retires July 31, 2010.

Yep -- the 2nd edition page I found says that there is a newer edition and mentions the 642-801 exam a couple of times in the description -- and then has the part "From the Back Cover" where someone copied the information from the 3rd edition of the book and says it's for the 642-901 exam, which is wrong.
