With my 5+ year old desktop starting to go I'm looking for a new system.
Here is what I need it for:
Running VM's with Virtualization technology
light to moderate gaming
For the computer to last another 5+ years
Here's one I found on BestBuy :
HP - Pavilion Elite Desktop with AMD Phenom™ II Quad-Core Processor - HPE-130f
I assume that all Phenom quad cores have Virtualization extensions. The only minor issue that I have so far is the lack of open pci, pci-e ports.
Is it a good deal for around $950?
I'm also trying to hold out for a system with usb 3.0 ports but it looks like it may be awhile until they become standard for most systems.

Hyper-Me Banned Posts: 2,059I built my own for about 900$.
Lian Li case
1 TB 7200 SATA 3.0GB/s
4GB DDR3
Intel Core i5 Quad Core @ 3.34Ghz
ATI 4950 (i think) 1gb GDDR5
DFI LanParty motherboard
Meets hardware requirements for Hyper-V, im sure probably ESX as well. I run VMware workstation 7 on it and it runs great. I also game with it and it has no trouble playing anything I throw at it.
