GNS3 questions

Ok I got a lab that requires 2 routers connected a "class room" router thats connected to the internet.
I also have two hosts ones a client, ones a server. I want to know if its possible to emulate the two computers via gns3? I want things to be as simple as possible without the need to always use my real gear or computers.
This stuff is more along the security track but I imagine info on how to do this might be useful for others as well, and not as many people read the security forum

What do you need the hosts to do exactly? If you are just going to be doing ICMP tests then a router should be fine to fill that role. You can also create a loopback adapter on your PC and tie that into Dynamips.

sorry I should have probably been more clear, but also wanted it to be at least a bit valid for the CCNA as well as security.
Essentially, I need the fake PCs to have web services, and other things that might need to be blocked via access lists and what have you.
If possible, I'd like to have the "cloud" be of the 10.229.0.0/16 network without having anything to do with what my cable modem really is. I'm good as far as the routers themselves are concerned(got the right IOS) know what ill scan and upload an example of what im trying to accomplish in a bit
