Token Ring

I purchased a pair of token ring adapters (DB9 to RJ45) for my 2 Cisco 2513 routers.

I was hoping I could use straight through or crossover cables to connect the 2 routers via the token ring ports but I wasn't successful. Do I need a token ring hub or switch to connect the 2 routers via the token ring ports? If I need a token ring hub, do I use straight through or crossover cables to connect to the hub?

I'm trying to create a full-mesh topology with 3x2513 and 1x2523.

You cant connect the token ring back to back as I found out myself, you need something called a mau. I managed to get a cheap one of these for £2 ($4) off ebay. Or you can use a Cisco 3000 seriers Token ring Mau which gives you a lot more facilities.

The cables are simply straight through connections. The ports also need to be configured with the ring-speed 16, and depending on your model of Router half-duplex command. Only some Router are capable of Full duplex.
