TECHNET V. LAB LINKS (sec/clustr related)

Ok, after my fail today, I searched Technet and found these. I was able to download quite a few videos to my desktop. The virtual labs should still work, I tried 2 so far and they load just fine. I am sure you may find more, just search technet under virtual labs, virtual events, podcasts, or on demand webcasts. Pick your flavor.

Hope they help:

Are these similar to CBT Nuggets?

I wouldn't say they are CBT Nuggets, but they are usually 60-90 minutes worth of detailed info on the subject. Most fo the hosts are MS employees with lots of experience in their field, so I find then useful.

Wanted to point some things out.

For many of the MS tests, these Virtual labs are now 90 minutes long, which helps in not feeling rushed. You have a virtual lab put together by MS, with 2 machines. I have used the PKI lab to work on clustering and other labs that I have made or been given. You can re register for the same lab over and over, just the settings will revert back.

This may be an option for some people who don't have access to a complete setup "domain" or , like I do, while at lunch I can use them to go back over the same lab that MS provides on the right side of the Vlab screen.

Repetition is the key and I can already see some of the material they have you lab WILL help on the test....... I won't say more due to NDA, but I am loving Technet!

Anytime amigo. I had a network redesign for one of my sites that ran a week over the projected finish date, so I have it scheduled for the 4th. Originally had it set for this Monday, but obviously that isn't happening. I just finished the PKI/CA lab, I think the time allotted is right on the mark. It really goes into the CLI commands for certutil quite well.

Keep us updated, I'll post as soon as I can too.

Here is a new link I ran across. I have been watching many of the first page and it has really helped! Look at the Securing Windows sever part 1 and 2, very good stuff on RRAS, CA's, IPSEc policies.

This thread should probably be a sticky.
No longer work in IT. Play around with stuff sometimes still and fix stuff for friends and relatives.

Thanks buddy. I don't think it would hurt. I am not sure how I missed the last link before when creating this thread. I think that several of the links on the last link I posted, which range from topics in 290,291,and 293, would be very helpful for people. It's like getting free CBTNuggets. I just hope that they can help in any way possible.
