I was just wondering if you guys follow up after every application you submit, or only after actual interviews? Do you send an email or phone call? And how long do you wait before you follow up?

I send a thank you email the same day as the interview. I might call them a few days later if I havent heard back from them. Calling them up too often or too soon may piss them off, so exercise caution.
I resorted to calling up the HR goon (idiot, dumba$$, douchebag or anything you want to call the breed) after applcation when I got desperate after having looked for a job for a few months (that was about 4-5 years ago).
