Interview tommorow for a Systems Admin position

I got an interview with a local hospital in my area tomorrow.I'm excited I was offered an interview but man am I nervous about the interview.Generally what kind of questions do they ask in a systems admin position interview?

I've went over some of the questions from here. MCSE & System Administrator Interview Questions: Windows Server 2008/R2 Active Directory

Hopefully the interview goes well and I don't draw a blank on something I know.

I didn't know a lot of them. I bookmarked that page and put it in my 70-647 folder. I'm gonna use that one list as a review while studying for that test.

Go through a refresher on DNS and how it works with AD, that will highly benefit you in being impressive. In all the interviews I've gone to the interviewer was always impressed by such knowledge as nobody else they interviewed ever seemed to understand DNS.

HIPAA? wouldn't that be more important for someone that is trying to be a nurse or another position in the healthcare field?

He is going for interview at Hospital. I agree talk about Hippa. Learn about it because I work for a medical facility and they are huge on it. Trust me IT is one of the main areas they are big on it especially if they do EHR (Electronic Health Records) with Allscripts.

oh ok thanks guys I'll look at HIPAA too then I had no idea IT would need to know it.

Since it does entwine itself with the security of the network you should probably at least have some knowledge of it.

HIPAA is big time in the industry with electronic record keeping.

Oklahoma State University has their security policy and procedures posted online. Probably gives you a good idea of what is required on the IT side of things.

As a former hospital IT worker, HIPAA was very much a top priority at our hospital. Our HIPAA compliance officer required one of us to watch any person who entered the data center who wasn't an employee. So when the guy comes to do routine maintenance on the Liebert AC system, I would have to stand there and watch him until he got finished.

Our network admin put some HIPAA disclaimers on all emails, but that apparently wasn't enough. Eventually the new hospital owners swapped out Outlook for Lotus Notes (ugh) and used ZixCorp for secure email handling.

Also, if you're familiar with AS/400 at all, you might want to mention that. I know a lot of hospitals are still using them for lab work.

Sorry I have been so busy I didn't get a chance to update here. Well the interview went pretty smooth , the only issue was they wanted someone with a intermediate knowledge of SQL and I'm not too familiar with SQL. I ensured the interviewer I could brush up on it before I started but he still has some more people to interview so we will see what happens.No HIPAA questions though lol.
