70-272 in the distance

Well I took the 70-271 on Friday and passed with a score of 833. I actually didn't study for it as I took the 70-270 test in feburary, so I was hoping I retained enough knowledge from then (plus I use XP every damn day). Well 272 is scheduled for Monday, I just downloaded SP2 for my own computer to see what it adds/removes ect . . . though I think on microsofts site, the part devoted to SP2 should come in real handy. Anyway, wish me luck, I have a Official MS press kit book for 272, so we'll see how it goes. Perhaps I still have enough drive to squeeze out 1 more cert before school ends

Did you study at all for the 70-271?

If so what materials did you study?

    Thanks

For my 70-271 exam, I had studied for 70-270 back in Feburary and I was very comfortable in XP. So combined with that knowledge and my current knowledge of XP, I thought I was ready. I used the Exam Cram 2 book for 70-270 and I also had access to Knowledgenet Online Campus so those 2 things combined prepared me well for 270, and 271 was just a lesser version of 270 if you ask me. I'll let everyone know about 272 later on today

Well thats that . . . MCDST all the way baby!!! I scored higher on my 272 than on my 271 (An 863 on my 272, and an 833 on my 271 . .. go figure) I found the 271 to be a bit more tricky than 271, though I may have lucked out with having like 10 questions in a row about allowing exceptions on the Windows Firewall. I'd say know SP2 for XP very well, be comfortable in Outlook, know IE like the back of your hand, the differences between zones and privacy settings, and you should do well. Although it does include some office application troubleshooting, it wasn't anything that anyone couldn't figure out (even it's just by the choices given). I got a Word and Excel troubleshooting question, nothing else though. It may have been the group of questions I got, but who knows! Anyway, thats my 2 cents, good luck on 272!!!
