passed it today with a score of 955, it was quite easy compared to ccna

going for ccda!

    was using:

    - CCNA Security Official Exam Certification Guide by Kevin Wallace
    - CBT nuggets from Jeremy

    and for the lab 2x 2621 router

    for this exam you have to be 100% confident with SDM and Ipsec VPN stuffs

    You didn't use any switches???
    Are those the same routers you used for the CCNA and are they XM?
    No longer work in IT. Play around with stuff sometimes still and fix stuff for friends and relatives.

    One of them were XM, the other not if I remember correctly. Naah, not too much job on switches, basic portsecurity things and a few aaa commands never practiced them

    You have to contentrate on zonebased fws and ipsec vpns

    Most likely he used the advanced security IOS at the very least so he you can set site to site VPN's

    Zone Based Firewalls were introduced in 12.4.6 and later.. I know on my 28xx's I need IOS 15 for ZBF, so it almost might depend on your router model.

    Yeah try to search for some K9 IOs they should have the crypto command
