Studying for the rhcsa. Wondered if anyone has an idea how to setup http file sharing services. Link or any assistance would be appreciated.

It shouldn't be a big deal as far as apache goes. In the RHEL6 deployment guide it looks like the best example of this is creating a symbolic link to the apache server root and using the directory indexing to show the files.

You guys have been really helpful and hopefully, these questions I am asking will be helpful to others as well. My next question involves new rhce exam.

When red hat refers to "group managed content" for http, are they referring to webdav?

I'll dig around a little more on this one, but I do not believe they are referencing webdav. I believe its referencing a folder with web pages that is accessible via http, and the folder on the system ans the SGID bit set and the proper SELinux context.

The reason I assumed that it was webdav was because red hat wanted us to setup a centralized location in which a group can read and write over http.

Sigh. I guess I don't have that privilege yet. The closest thing I have is "Enable Visitor Messaging" and it was checked awhile back. Enabled email option as well.

I guess we both have a few more posts to go...

Just read this in the welcome email I received when I signed up.
To prevent new users from sending unwanted private messages to other members new member won't be able to use the PM functionality till they have 10 posts in the forums. (If you are an actual person with no intention to spam, reply to this message and we'll speed up the process.)

May I ask where you read that? I tried to email you, I didnt see the option on your profile. Feel free to respond via e-mail if the answer is private in nature.
