TCA and CompTIA merge
Associations join forces to give channel stronger voice, increased benefits

The Technology Channels Association (TCA) has today announced it is to merge with and CompTIA to create the UK’s largest trade association for the channel.
TCA members, including vendors distributors and resellers will join forces with CompTIA’s existing reseller members to form the CompTIA TCA Community. The newly-formed association claims this will provide a more powerful voice for this part of the technology sector.
“The move creates a single platform through which the channel can collaborate, do business and drive the industry forward,” says the group in a statement.
In addition to TCA benefits, such as Confidence Assurance, members will now gain access to CompTIA’s portfolio of educational and operational resources. This includes live and archived webinars, a Video on Demand series and white papers and best practice tools and templates for solution provider businesses.
In addition, CompTIA Communities and collaborative groups allow members to network with similar companies.

IMO, it just means that Comptia has a bigger/better footing now in the UK with less competition and more resources (and vice versa for the TCA).
