This crazy world called IT

So I finish up my A and N+ and decided to move onto server 290 and 291. I get my machine upgraded and added 4 more GB's of Ram. Spent 2 hours last night going over chapter 2 in 70-290. I load up Windows 7 enteprise and get 2008 on VM.

Then my old boss calls and sets up an interview at a his new company. He wants me to ramp up on my SQL skills, not a problem I can write joins and views in T-SQL. But he also wants me to get a light understanding of C#, VB, and ASP.

So now I dropped server studies and I am basically cramming for an interview. It is tier 3 application analyst heavy SQL.

When will this madness ever end?

When your old boss is calling you and giving you a head's up, the only way you could mess that up is by insulting that guy's family or something...

You got the entire Internet at your disposal to brush up on just familiarity of those languages. I imagine you only need to know them as it relates to the three-tier application and also to help troubleshoot with the developers when stuff "all of a sudden" doesn't work...(9 times out of 10, it's actually their fault). I don't think you'll be expected to be a programmer or anything like that. (Some places want that though....but those tend to be tiny shops....lmao.)

I can't see you messing this up, so I'll congratulate you in advance, should you decide to take it.....but n-tier apps are what's good-in-the-hood my friend....

BTW Last night I downloaded visual web developer just to bang out some code.

I'll have to get reintroduced to subroutines and exceptions lol
