I know it's only day one, but I really feel like I am going to love this company and this job... I know N2IT was kidding, but after I get settled in, I may set up my HDI cert

Mike-Mike wrote: » six weeks of training, but they say they expect it to take 6 months before an Analyst is ready to really know the system... I don't see it taking me that long.... plus they have a NOC, a data center, and local support, all on site so there is plenty of room for advancement... I'm going to crank out this MCDST as soon as I get paid, and then it's on to WGU

Mike-Mike wrote: » If I had not already read all the MCDST material, I would agree with you two, but at this point (at the risk of sounding cocky) it's just a matter of taking the tests... after that I will only be doing certs for WGU once I get enrolled... I'm not sure they care about MCDST, I'm just going to finish it because I started it. But i did tell them in my interview and in my thank you letter that I was going for it, so I think completing it would show follow through. But regardless, at work I'm very professional. Dress slacks, shirt and tie everyday, I ask a ton of questions, and soak up as much knowledge as they will give me. After day one the trainer told me he gave a glowing review to my soon to be manager. At this point I'm contracting waiting to get picked up perm, so my goal is to impress them as much as possible. And I know at this point meeting all of my metrics is the best way to do that. And obviously learning as much as possible about the job is the best way to meet and exceed those metrics.
