Optionstiersten Member Posts: 4,505Odd idea. The reason why they use the custom computers and expensive parts is because they're more reliable. They're not doing it just because they don't have any other choices in hardware. Considering how unreliable phone hardware is even on the ground, I'd expect it to be even worse in space.
