OSPF point-to-point

Hello,
I have a question reguarding OSPF over /30 links.
I understand the following:
If you have 2 routers directly connected using interfaces in the same /30 then they will be the only 2 devices in the DR/BDR relationship.
My question is the following, would I gain anything by converting these links to OSPF point-to-point interfaces?
My thought is that even though there are only 2 devices participating in the ospf election process it still takes time to figure out the election. So changing to point-to-point would speed that process up.
thanks.

Not to my knolowdge. It all depends on the handoff's your getting. As a example. Ethernet is a broadcast so if you have ethernet on both sides of your link you will need to make it point to point so DR/BDR elections won't happen. If you have the normal T1 or whatever that wont' be needed.
