PDF or Tif to Text OCR software?

hey guys do you all know of any decent software that converts PDFs/TIFs to text documents. and not too much work involved editing them?

    The full Adobe Acrobat has built in OCR for PDF's as long as they are not protected. For scanned things and TIF's Nuance Omnipage is one of the best. However most cheap scanners come with OCR software so you might consider that too.

    Oh work in editing them varies; most have built in spell checkers and also output to rtf or direct word format.
