3548 vs. 3550

Just wondering if these 2 switches are compariable in terms of applicability towards (future) ccnp studies? I ask as I can easily get myself a 3548 from a work friend for pretty cheaap, and if they can support the same/similar functions to a 3550 then ill go with that option.

This with a 2950T or 2 should be enough switching wise for ccnp i assume.

3548's are garbage. Get atleast two 3550's and a couple of 2950T for the switch studies.
