072 Microsoft Certification

Hi,

What is the difference between the Microsoft certification 072 and the other series? I heard this was for students. Is it different then taking the other certifications? Please help.

    They are for students. The 72 series exams are identical to 70 series exams, so you get the same credit. Your MCP transcript does not even differentiate between the exams, the only place you can see that it is a 72 or 70 exam is in your Prometric exam history.

    Microsoft sometimes provides nice discounts on 72 series exams. Note however, that not all 70 series exams have a corresponding 72 exam... for example, there is no 72-293.

    Normally the student(72) exams are $60. Great way to get certs on the cheap. Also look at dreamspark now for a free voucher.
