Information Assurance vs Cyber Security?

failedcisspfailedcissp Member Posts: 31 ■■□□□□□□□□
Guys,

part of a task my boss wants me to do is come up with something that explains the differences between IA and CS. I have been reading up on the foundations of both since I do work in both areas, but both seem to overlap a lot and I am trying to think of the best way to send the information out to my team. How would you explain the differences between the two? and also, how would you present it (word doc, matrix, etc???)

Thanks and i hope this is in the right spot :)

Cyber Security deals with deals with the control of information on the electronic and enimation side of things. Information Assurance contains that and the paperwork side of things, physical security, training and so forth.

I recommend a Matrix because people like pictures and it will make an easy reference for others.
