XML is a newer version of HTML??
Question of a test was something like this.
1. XML is a newer version of ?
a)HTML
b)XHTML
and a couple others
I put XHTML but instructor says it's HTML ... The wording in the book isn't very good.

Indeed, when I heard HTML5 provide integration of SVG content I was amazed. No VML, Silverlight or Flash.
It also allows JavaScript to run in background. This is possible due to JS Web worker API in HTML5. -

Flash and Silverlight have at least another 5 years of life in them.
There is the fact that Flash and Silverlight have both progressed far beyond the HTML5 standard which does not even exist yet.

I know. More a comment for the proverbial peanut gallery.
And an expression of my lack of desire to learn HTML5.
I've got too much crap on my learning table as it is. -

You are just going to be learning something that is evolving and may never reach it's next version. It's pretty exciting really because standards move quiet fast now they are broken down lots.

And it's about damn time, really. I mean we have been working with HTML4 for over a decade now... It came out in like 1999, or something like that.
I'm just really feeling the pressure of haveing to learn so much. The thought of having to learn another tool for my SharePoint Dev Tool Box is just daunting.
