Alright, I been in a dilemma for the last couple of weeks.
To begin, I finished my first year of college. The program I'm taking is "Computer Systems Technology" It's a three year program. The first two years of this program is the same as the "Network & Technical Support" program but then it had a third year that specialized in cisco wireless and also had a co-op position. At this point I instantly thought the co-op position was good sice it would let me get some experience in the IT field. Now fast forward.
I now got my foot into the IT field and I'm wondering is the third year worth it? I can graduate next year with a Network & Technical Support diploma vs a Computer Systems Technology "advanced diploma"
Also, I've been thinking about going to University and getting a degree, I was thinking telecommunications, but I'm not sure, I do want a degree for something though. Most likely technology related so I can transfer some of my credits from college over to count for my University credits.
So my question really is, do you guys think the third year is worth it? I do want to get a degree after so I would be attending University. Also I plan to have my CCNP by the time I finish University.
And what kind of University degree do you think would go well with a Networking diploma from college? And please, no programming suggestions :P
