WGU Online Degree

Hello everyone i need someof you guys opinions. Ive been going to school at West Georgia Technicial college for a an Associates Degree as a Network Support Specialist. As of now i'm, expecting a newbrn in november and my work hours can not correspond with school. I was looking at WGU and became interested in their Online I.T Programs. Would it be a stuipid move to switch between schools. Im sure some of my credits would transfer but im not sure i this is a big mistake in the long run.

There are quite a few people on here that can answer that better than I can here are WGU students.

Since you are in Newnan I do have a couple recommendations that you could look into. I'm not sure that the drive would be any better for Clayton State than for West GA but the class schedules might be better and the credits you've gotten so far should transfer nicely. The College of Information and Mathematical Sciences Also there are about 5 or 6 Georgia schools that have teamed up to offer a fully online IT bachelors degree. Clayton State is one of the schools that you can be enrolled at to do the online degree.

I'm actually considering transferring to WGU after I get my A.A.S in networking from Clayton State. I really need to look more into my self as I only have a few more classes to take.

Havent really read on clayton state. Besides the school i reside at now is OK but my class schedules aren't steady, mainly being my fault the jobs i have conflict with them and leaves me taking a semester of and what not, Id like a good Online I.T degree, so far WGU has been blooming on this forum and id like to give them a try.

I am currently enrolled at UGA and am seriously considering WGU. I just can't justify the cost, commute, conflict with work, etc. I understand where you are coming from.

No, it won't be a stupid move. It was nearly impossible for me to work and go to school at the same time as well thats why WGU worked really well for me. Depending how close you are from finishing your associates, you should see if you can finish it first then transfer in with an associates degree to waive all the GE classes. Of course, if that college is more expensive than WGU, than you should just do WGU. I do most of my work during my graveyard shift at work. It also depends on whether or not you're a self-motivated person who can just learn by reading a book with no instructor guiding you. Although there are course mentors, they're only there to answer simple questions and its up to you to set up a proper learning environment.
