Any suggestions? It's for home use. I'd like a managed system that supports jumbo frames if possible. Cheaper is better...

I've seen people use these as 1 GB SAN switches.

16 GB ports, $200, not a linksys with a Cisco sticker, trusted brand. Probably comes in a less expensive 8 port version.

Netgear GS608 unmanaged switch - $58 NewEgg.

If I hadn't gone with a cheap netgear switch, I would probably go with the 8 port HP suggested above...

EDIT - sorry you were looking for a managed switch, and I think that HP is unmanaged too...

I currently use the HP. I may just endup sticking with that when I see the prices for the managed switches. The reason I'm looking for a managed switch is just the ability to use jumbo frames. At work we saw about 30% increase in storage performance with JF. But for home use that is in no way a requirement I suppose. Thanks for the suggestions!!!

If you are just looking for jumbo frame support, then the netgear gs608 as above provides it, they are unmanaged but we have actually used them as backbone switches in a small 2 node vmware cluster before with great effect.

For my production SAN at work I use ProCurve. For classroom and areas with a few network devices I like the Netgear gs108t as I get web management from it and I can use it with my cacti server for colorful graphs. I have about 15 total Netgear switches from both v1 and v2 (v2 is much smaller). The Netgear runs about $100 Newegg.com - NETGEAR GS108Tv2
