The Net Range is the range of assignable ip addresses that they have, the CIDR is the route summaries that represent them in internet routing tables, I dont know what anything else means, Im assuming you already knew those two, so I guess I didnt help much icon_lol.gif

I spent a good portion of my morning cutting and crimping cables for my lab and building some new configs, so after I purtied it up I took a pic of it and made it my avator. Thats my functional Cicso lab, I have a couple other pieces but they are in limbo icon_evil.gif

Yeah i know that much except for i want to know more about the same, how is the CIDR information stored, how is it translated, how is interpreted by the routers, how do ISP's use it, how does it minimizes the routing tables burden, things like that.

icon_cry.gif why can't anyone tell me where can i find this info icon_cry.gif

Basically, CIDR reduces the number of routing entries on internet routers, here are some good CIDR links
