70-270 is still available. So it is still possible to get MCP/MCSA/MCSE/Certified in Windows XP. It just won't be possible to have the MCDST.

Which is ideal for people who have the MCTS/MCITP certs like me. By the time XPSP3 is no longer in support, this is going to be a HOT cert to have as companies are forced to upgrade to Win7. The current going rate for Desktop upgrade rollouts is up to around $600/day+ in Aus. Cant imagine how much higher that rate is going to go in a few years time.

Yeah there will be a lot of opportunities in the next few years. Besides traditional deployments, a lot of companies are opting to go for desktop virtualization and VDI instead, so I'm hoping my XenDesktop experience and certs will be useful.

I know that I have no evidence and they actually did a study, but I expect that 60% is on the lower end of the ball park.

Windows vista has 10%? I find that a little hard to believe too.

I also don't think you can include iphones, ipads, and android devices (and ipods??) which while small do deflate the percentage.
