Why is it better to use wild card mask 0.0.0.0 in ospf versus the 0.0.0.255?

Using 0.0.0.0 means you are only turning OSPF on the specific interface whose IP precedes the wildcard mask. Using the 0.0.0.255 wildcard mask means multiple interfaces MAY run OSPF.

What daniel said. If you cut it on for only one interface the router doesn't send advertisements for any other interface and the route doesn't show in adjacent routers' routing tables.

    good luck! :)
