I bought this book in college in 03/04 and have been using it for reference since then. Thinking of taking the exams this year for the first time. I have 3 years of IT desktop support experience under my belt and I think I am ready.

Should I ditch this edition and get the seventh. or should I hang onto the 5th edition?

Maybe I can see if the library has the 7th edition and study the new objectives that are not in the 5th edition?icon_lol.gif

I'll be honest, I only went through 1 book for my certification. I've looked over others in the past, but this particular one covered everything I needed to know in order to pass my certification test. It was the Guide to Managing and Troubleshooting PCs 3rd edition by Mike Meyers. I personally enjoyed the book layout in a traditional classroom text book style with key terms as well as multiple choice questions at the end of each chapter. Even some essays and labs if you want some extra bonuses to your learning.
