Amazon.com: CEH Certified Ethical Hacker All-in-One Exam Guide (9780071772297): Matt Walker: Books

From the All-In-One series, I hope this is a good one. I would like to have a decent reference. If anyone gets it, I would love to hear what you think. If I hear enough positive reviews, I will buy it.

Nope, I haven't received my advance copy of it yet, but it's on the way.

I haven't taken the CEH exam, so I won't have much of a opinion of how well it will prep you to pass.

I am definitely interested in reviews on this book. I bought the courseware for Ver7 and so far, it's basically powerpoint slides with end of chapter labs.

From when I've read of it, it's a very useful book. There are a lot of CEH prep books on Amazon, but this the only one I know of that covers CEHv7.

I'm sold. You can't beat that price for study material. Thanks for your input!

It has one review on Amazon (5 stars:)
' I've not taken the exam yet, so I can't speak to the alignment with the content, but I feel confident that no other book could have prepared me as well.'

    Riiiight.

I agree - this does sound like someone trying to sell the book to a potential buyer. AND, his only review is for the book. But, the guy bought the book so would you think he bought it just to make a sales pitch?

I put more stock into JDMurray's input than the Amazon review

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I haven't taken the CEHv7 exam either, so I can only compare what I read in the book with reviews of the CEHv7 exam itself here on TE. Right now I believe that if you are gonna spend the $600US to take the CEHv7 exam, this book is a great investment in not having to pay for a retake.

I understand you didn't take it. But again, for an additional $30 to add to the courseware, it's not that big of a deal for me.

Since mid-July, actually. Check this page: https://www.eccouncil.org/certification/certified_ethical_hacker.aspx?CSSTabID=3

$500USD for the CEHv7 voucher, plus $100USD application fee. There have been a few threads about this posted in this forum.
