As above, during the CCNA exam, do you get to use a pen and paper?

I can subnet in my head but i like to write it down for good measure.

You get an erasable board and a marker so you can write stuff down.
(It's usually a bit bigger then DIN A4)

One of the top tips for the CCNA exam is to write down a subnetting table before starting the exam icon_wink.gif

    Ausome!

I was wondering if doing that was legal or not.

I could walk in with a blank piece of paper and draw out subnet and binary conversion tables on it before starting the exam then?

If so then that will save me loads of time on the questions but it is kind of like cheating the exam if the time to write that down is not taken out of the total time for the exam.

No you cant just walk in with a piece of paper,it all depends on the testing centre, some refuse to give you a pad and pen as they only offer the borad and marker.
you best bet is to ring around a few testing centres and find out whats on offer
