Hi guys,
I'm going through a lab scenario at home and I noticed that VTP only syncs VLAN information on switches that have the same VTP domain name. I realized only now that it does no assign any of the ports to the VLANs.
Is this the normal operation for VTP? Is there a technology that will sync the port assignments across all switches?

Nope, port assignments are still manual. That is not a function of VTP.
You can use something called VMPS, but I've never seen it used. This provisions port VLAN assignments via MAC.An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made.
