I'm wondering how much one should focus on each aspect for the exam?

    A lot. Focus on theory until you understand it, work implementation until you can do it with your eyes closed. Then review details and theory again, before your exam. The pace of learning, reviewing, and reviewing again later, should help commit it all well to long term memory.
