I am interested to learn something new. I have experience with HTML,CSS and I m going to learn Javascript. I know php is the most popular server side script language. but I have also read about Ruby which is becoming more and more popular year by year. do you think I have to stick to php or Ruby?

I believe you should stick with which one you are comfortable with learning. If you have experience, stick with PHP, otherwise give Ruby on Rails a try...Personally haven't used Ruby but I have seen some sites designed using it and they are phenomenalicon_thumright.gif. Also, check out which one is used more in the area you will be working. This may give you some direction as well
