Need a 2nd source for Server+ Mainly a practice question source

charlesc09charlesc09 Member Posts: 89 ■■□□□□□□□□
I am using the spiral binder 2009 version of server+. But thats like the only source I have. I usually like to complement another source with questions. Can't find any for SK0-003. They do have one for SK0-002 I can order, but dunno if that one would be legitimate enough. But so far when I am reading the server book, content seems like a easy read. But I would like to do some questions to be more confident about it.

A practice exam source is definitely the right call. I've had okay results with Transcender and PrepLogic in the past. On the Comptia exams, practice questions can be just as informative as the study material.

I used uCertify's product for my test. It was a nice refresher and covered the Domains pretty closely.

I just check uCertify, even that cost $119.99. Darn it. Now I'm really asking myself if its worth to invest that much on a server+ resourceicon_cry.gif

I only spend around $60 with Gibson on Security that has both guide and practice questions. Along with free training videos from messer.

ya I check it out before. I did take a copy of those exam cram notes. But I am actually looking for sole practice question source. I did that for both A+ and Network+ as well. I feel it would prepare me more if I am actually face with questions. That Server+ book I got have questions too, but they are like the end of the chapter questions which aren't too hard, but straight forward.

I actually have purchase exam crams for both A+ and Network+, they were pretty decent. I found one for server+, but unfortunately its for Sk0-002. Can't find one for SK0-003. The one's people suggested to purchase online, all above $100

I haven't seen good practice questions for any test come in at under $100. Server+ probably isn't worth spending $300-$400 on, between the exam and study materials, so you are probably right to be skeptical of them. Server+ is probably easy enough to pass without practice questions. Read through the book and see if you can find free practice questions or flash cards online.

Btw, I actually bought the exam crams for both A+ and Network+ maybe around 35-45 range. The SK0-002 exam cram is around 34 bucks CAD. Thats what I am really looking for. But there is a chance I may just buy the SK0-002 exam cram, despite current version of exam is SK0-003. Prob have alot of overlaps.

I have found that to be the case with Comptia. The updates between versions result in only minor changes, generally speaking. I took Net+ in 2008 using a 2005 book and Security+ in 2010 using a 2008 book. I didn't find a lot of gaps between the questions and my study material. You'll probably be fine.
