For enterprise products, but sheesh this is ridiculous!

Thoughts? I actually like Norton Internet Security, which is pretty lightweight, so hopefully this isn't compromised as well!

It's older versions but who knows... From a security perspective we have to just do our best and be aware that the security companies clearly sell their source code to government agencies so that they can more easily circumvent them in cyber warfare.

According to a Symantec Representative that was at our local ISSA meeting, it was an older version and the code stolen was not significant enough to be concerned about it. InfoSec Island reported that it was Norton 2006.

Happened years ago and nothing really came of it, not too concerned about it now. What is concerning is the fact that the give the source good to governments....

Well there not going to say any thing else, I am not suggesting they would lie, but there not going to talk it up are they and say how terrible and that it has the potential to wipe out their company, even if it did. Standard business practice to make out things are a bit better than they are.

Look at the worst case some people are saying, and the best case the company is saying and you know the truth is in the middle somewhere.
