Server 2K8 Virtualization issue
Hi guys I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit, And have Microsoft Virtual PC 2007
I am trying to run Server 2008 R2 Virtually but am encountering a issue when I try and run it via both Virtual PC and virtualbox.
\windows\system32\boot\winload.exe
status: 0xc000035a
Attempting to load 64 Bit Application however this CPU is not compatible with 64 Bit mode
Processor is a Q8300 Which does support 64 Bit, I can install Server 2k8 R2 normally, Have checked the BIOS and virtualisation support is enabled
Any ideas?

Intel® Core
That is almost certainly the issue. -

Optionsblargoe Member Posts: 4,174 ■■■■■■■■■□That's right... I forgot VPC doesn't support 64 bit guests at all.IT guy since 12/00
Recent: 11/2019 - RHCSA (RHEL 7); 2/2019 - Updated VCP to 6.5 (just a few days before VMware discontinued the re-cert policy...)
Working on: RHCE/Ansible
Future: Probably continued Red Hat Immersion, Possibly VCAP Design, or maybe a completely different path. Depends on job demands... -
