Cisco Press has a decent book NX-OS and Cisco Nexus Switching

If you had time/money then I would recommend the DCUFI course (replaced DCNX5+7) which goes a bit deeper into the nexus design and implementation. I have a boatload of Nexus documentation that I can send you the links for if you guys need.

FWIW there are a few partner specialization exams under the Unified Fabric / Data Center space.

I will actually be in Raleigh at the end of the month finishing the DCSNS course/exam on MDS/NX-OS Storage Design and Principles.

Let me know if this helps, should get you guys started. I would HIGHLY recommend the DCUFI class if you can swing it. I've sat through ICNX and DCNX courses and have been playing with the Nexus line of goodies for a little while now. These are great toys but there are a few caveats and gotchas.

I would recommend the 2nd Edition of Network Warrior as an Intro to Nexus, as there's some material in there that covers it enough to whet your appetite, while also mentioning some gotchas (like down77 mentioned above).

If you're beyond that level, going deeper might require Cisco Systems, Inc reading.

we have this book at work and while i've only flipped through it briefly it does look like a decent introduction.

The best Nexus resources, hands down, are the Cisco Live presos for the past few years.

I've actually found the material on the cisco web site to be most useful.

I purchased the "NX-OS and Cisco Nexus Switching: Next-Generation Data Center Architectures " of amazon, but found it to be quite basic and not an interesting read. So, save your money there.

The 2 courses mentioned seem pretty good, I'm hoping to hit up either the design or implementation one early this year.

I also just purchased "Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) (Data Center)" so i will let you know what that is like, if you have an interest.
