Anyone have a good resource for getting complete details on these? This is not my strongest area and I know the exam will hit this:
As far as I know now the security protocols supported by XP are:
PAP, SPAP, CHAP, MS-CHAP, MS-CHAPv2 (strongest)
Encryption:
WEP, WPA (with SP2)

I havent seen many questions on protocols on the exam... just one.
You'll wanna know what the strongest forms are....

And how they are used. Really basic you wont need to spend more than 10-15mins learning it.On the road to Cisco. Will I hunt it, or will it hunt me? -

I think the biggest thing to know is EAP is required when you use smart cards and that MS-CHAPv2 is the highest in security. I studied the security protocols until I knew them every direction but only had one question on it.

I agree you don't need to know them inside out untill you hit 70-291, just know those 2 mentioned above and you should be fine.
I don't think I even had 1 question on them when I took mine..

Yeah dont worry about this question. jus know that EAP is the strongest form and that MS-CHAP v2 offers mutual authentication, this is all ul need to know!!!!

be sure to know the defaults though, and what protocol is used with smart cards (EAP-TLS).
and remember its better to know too much rather than too little.witty comment
