WebDAV
i have installed webDAV on server 2003 enterprise server. I have created a virtual directory that publishes certain files etc. When i access this from an XP client it works as it should. However the client has appropriate permissions to publish content to this page but when i select the directory and check the "open as a web folder" box i get an http 405 error.
I have done a search on this but am stil unsure of how to fix this to allow the user to copy files as required. Has anyone else encountered this problem??

Did you set the appropriate permissions on the share folder? Default is everyone read.On the road to Cisco. Will I hunt it, or will it hunt me? -

Yeah have played about with the permissions, even left them wide open for testing purposes but still get the same error

If you are sure the permissions are ok, it could it be your IE needs an update:

I realize you are not using the same method as described in that article, but does it work when you use Method 1 from that article? -

No it does not work using method 1, that is how i was originally trying it but by the looks of the article you provided, IE does need the update! I am downloading it and will let you know if it works after i apply it.
