Ill skip the rest of the drool, but nothing impressive. Now comes the punchline:
REQUIREMENTS:
CCNA or CCNP
MCSE (will not be considered without)
A+, Net+, Sec +
Desired:
four year college degree or higher.
I love ads like this. People find every acronym they can and put them in the simplest of job ads....

It could of been the HR rep who listed the job ad. They usually don't know one way or the other.vex wrote:I have never seen Sec+ in am ad before.
The company I used to work for about a year and a half ago used to list Security+ as a requirement when applying for their firewall security team. -

Except for "basic network setup" the job posting may be right. A tier 2 support tech may actually be 3rd level of support. Suppose you work at a large software company, you have field engineers, they call 1st tier support who call 2nd tier.
For that matter it may be a support contract that must be staffed by a person holding an MCSE, CCNA, CCNP... or whatever was listed in the contract. -
