CCIE Lab question

This may be a silly question, but after you pass the written exam and go onto the LAB exam. When at the testing facility do you work with real equipment with all the configs cleared? Just curious to know what it's like on the exam.

    you have to do the troubleshooting section first. in which all the devices are configured but there are issues that you will be directed in resolving this is in a virtual environment. followed by the configuration section on real hardware in which the devices will have a minimal base config.
