Passed Security+

Didn't even study for it. It is definitely one of the harder CompTIA exams, but that's not saying much icon_cool.gif. One of my coworkers has to take it for school and he was worried about how difficult it is. So I basically took it on a whim just to prove a point icon_lol.gif

Minus knowing the port numbers that correspond with certain technologies, I would say the entire test is common sense.

Sorry, wasn't knocking the achievement. Congrats. I think I could have done the same as I had taken a couple security classes in college which covered all the same material. Although, I wasn't as ballsy as you and was not willing to risk $285 or so to make a point. Thus, I studied; pretty hard actually :) .

    Congrats on the pass!

What you do you think it was that enabled you to pass without studying?

As tprice5 said, the exam is pretty much common sense. I took a network security class back in college (1 year ago) also, so I'm sure that played into it.
